The संवाद (The Conversation) is an initiative born from a simple belief — that meaningful dialogue can heal, connect, and inspire. We seek to nurture a culture of samvāda — thoughtful exchange — that uplifts collective understanding and helps our society move towards samādhan — constructive solutions.
Our goals :
To offer a respectful platform for thinkers, artists, and practitioners to share their work and stories.
To build cultural bridges across regions and communities of Bharat.
To encourage informed discussions on development, technology, and dharma — grounded in both tradition and modern practices.
Initiated by two Bhartiyas from different regions of Bharat — Aakash Verma, a TV news producer and journalist from Chhattisgarh, and his wife Seema Mahotra Verma from Jammu and Kashmir.
The संवाद is their humble effort to contribute to Vikas (development) through the dharmic path of dialogue and understanding. Their shared belief, Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, inspires every conversation we host.
संवादेन समाधिः, समाधानेन विकासः।
Our vision is simple yet profound:
to nurture a culture of respectful conversation (samvāda),
to inspire collective understanding (avgatya),
and to walk together on the path of sustainable development (vikās).
भाषासु भिन्नाः, भावेन एकाः।
August 2025 | Bastar, Chhattisgarh
Inspired by the vision of Kashi Tamil Sangamam, the Chitrakote Kannada Sangama celebrated the timeless bonds between Karnataka and Chhattisgarh — two regions united by shared heritage, art, and spiritual ethos of Bharat Bhumi. Set amidst the breathtaking beauty of Bastar, this confluence became a living bridge of dialogue between languages, traditions, and hearts.
In an era often marked by linguistic divides, the Sangama reaffirmed a simple yet profound truth — every Bhartiya language is a sacred thread in the grand fabric of our collective heritage. Through the celebration of Kannada language, art, and traditions in a non-Kannada speaking region like Bastar, the event offered a heartfelt tribute to India’s linguistic unity.
Kannadiga guests experienced the deep affection and respect shown by their Bhartiya brothers and sisters in Chhattisgarh — a testament to “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” At the same time, the Sangama allowed them to discover the vibrant beauty of Gondi, Halbi, and Chhattisgarhi languages, and the rich tribal art and traditions of Bastar — revealing that the spirit of Karnataka and the soul of Bastar resonate in the same rhythm of Bharat Bhava.
The programme featured literary dialogues, musical performances, folk art demonstrations, and community workshops — each crafted to deepen cultural empathy, foster mutual learning, and celebrate Samvāda (conversation) as the true path to Vikas (progress).

At The संवाद (The Conversation), we believe that meaningful dialogue can heal, connect, and inspire. Each recorded conversation — whether with filmmakers, scholars, artists, or technologists — is an attempt to nurture a culture of samvāda (thoughtful exchange) that uplifts collective understanding and helps our society move towards samādhan (constructive solutions).
Our podcast and interview series serve as a living archive of ideas and journeys — from Bharat and beyond. Through open, reflective discussions, we seek to listen, learn, and share perspectives that illuminate the richness of human experience.
We aspire:
To offer a respectful platform where thinkers, artists, and practitioners can share their work and stories.
To build cultural bridges across regions and communities of Bharat, celebrating the diversity of voices that make our nation one.
To encourage informed, dharmic discussions on development, technology, and culture — rooted in tradition yet open to modern practice.
Guided by the spirit of “संवादेन समाधिः, समाधानेन विकासः” — Through dialogue comes understanding, through understanding comes progress —
The संवाद honours conversations not as debate, but as a sacred act of connection.

Local Outreach — Bharat
Rooted in the soil of Bharat, these workshops aim to serve as living spaces of samvāda (dialogue) and sahabhāgita (participation). They bring together local storytellers, language enthusiasts, artists, and young learners to celebrate creativity and rediscover the strength of cultural exchange at the grassroot level.
These low-cost, community-led initiatives focus on:
Language and Storytelling: Reviving indigenous languages such as Gondi, Halbi, and Chhattisgarhi while encouraging expression through Kannada and Hindi, fostering linguistic harmony and mutual respect.
Folk and Tribal Arts: Providing a platform for local artists to share their craft, preserve verbal depiction of culture & traditions, and pass on techniques to younger generations.
Cultural Collaboration: Encouraging small-scale cultural projects that connect the different communities, inspired by the spirit of Chitrakote Kannada Chhattisgarhi Sangama — where traditions meet and mutual learning thrives.
Knowledge and Dialogue: Facilitating discussions on development, technology, and dharma — grounded in both local wisdom and modern practice.
Through these workshops, The संवाद seeks to build bridges between regions, languages, and generations — reminding us that every voice, however small, enriches the collective story of Bharat.
IITECH Samwad II continues The संवाद’s ongoing effort to nurture meaningful dialogue — this time in the dynamic world of technology, innovation, and education.
Grounded in the belief that samvāda (conversation) leads to samādhan (solutions), and samādhan to vikās (progress), this initiative explores how emerging technologies can serve humanity ethically and inclusively.
IITECH Samwad II brings together distinguished voices from industry and academia to discuss the evolving landscape of science and technology.
Each episode focuses on practical pathways for students, educators, and young professionals, encouraging them to engage with innovation through a lens of dharma, sustainability, and collective growth.
The inaugural episode featured an insightful conversation between Dr. Udaya Raghunath Birje and Shri Madhav Bissa, Director of AI, nasscom, exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, ethics, and human purpose. Their dialogue set the tone for what IITECH SamwadII stands for — thoughtful inquiry, open learning, and responsible innovation.
To unite tech enthusiasts across the globe — to share, learn, and grow together.
Through Tech संवाद, we hope to create a space where the next generation of innovators can engage in purpose-driven conversations that decode tomorrow while staying rooted in timeless values.
Dharma Samwad is a respectful and non-sectarian conversation series dedicated to exploring the timeless principles of dharma, the living spiritual traditions of Bharat, and their resonance in the modern world.
Rooted in the philosophy that samvāda (dialogue) is the path to samādhan (understanding) and vikās (growth), this initiative seeks to bring together voices from diverse spiritual lineages, philosophies, and disciplines — creating a space where learning flows freely and mutual respect prevails.
Each conversation aims to:
Illuminate the great traditions of this ancient land — from Vedanta to Buddhism, from Shaiva and Vaishnava thought to tribal and folk practices that continue to thrive across Bharat.
Engage with global dharmic practices and thinkers, highlighting how timeless principles of balance, compassion, and duty are interpreted and lived across cultures.
Inspire practical wisdom — inviting scholars, monks, practitioners, and seekers to reflect on how dharma can guide modern life, ethical leadership, and inner harmony.
Through these dialogues, Dharma Samwad strives to bridge the sacred and the present, reminding us that dharma is not merely doctrine, but a way of being — a compass for right living in a changing world.
At II The Samwad II, providing a platform is only the beginning — our true commitment lies in nurturing meaningful, balanced, and inclusive conversations. Guided by the belief that samvāda (dialogue) leads to samādhan (solution), and samādhan to vikās (progress), every initiative is designed to deepen reflection and inspire growth.
Our podcast and dialogue series bring together a vibrant range of voices — authors, filmmakers, psychologists, scholars, technologists, educators, and practitioners — whose diverse experiences enrich every conversation. By engaging both experienced experts and emerging contributors who are making a real difference in their communities, we ensure that The Samwad remains grounded, authentic, and relevant to all.
We believe that hearing from a seasoned expert can enlighten, while listening to a sincere new voice can inspire. This blend of wisdom and discovery lies at the heart of our conversations — helping society to connect, question, and evolve together.
Our facilitation process is thoughtful and deliberate:
Curation and Moderation: Each discussion is framed respectfully, ensuring depth, context, and balance.
Regional Inclusion: We consciously amplify local and regional voices — sharing their knowledge without overshadowing their authenticity.
Access and Continuity: Recordings and insights are made available for wider study, learning, and community engagement, extending the impact of each conversation beyond the moment.
Through II The Samwad II, we reaffirm that dialogue is not debate — it is a shared journey of learning and co-creation, rooted in tradition yet open to innovation.
